Atty. Hue Jyro U. Go

Founding & Co-Managing Partner

Before starting this firm, Atty. Go served as Chief of Staff and later as Officer-in-Charge of the Presidential Task Force on Media Security (PTFoMS) under the Office of the President, where he developed in-depth expertise in the media and law enforcement, working to enhance the safety and rights of journalists.

In his role at PTFoMS, Atty. Go gained extensive expertise in media and law enforcement. He collaborated with various government agencies such as the DOJ, PCO, DFA, AFP, PNP, and NBI. Additionally, he worked with international organizations including the United Nations, Committee to Protect Journalists, and Reporters Without Borders, contributing to global efforts to enhance journalist safety.

Prior to his role at PTFoMS, Atty. Go honed his legal expertise at a top-tier law firm in Ortigas, where he served as an Associate and later as a Consultant, delivering comprehensive legal solutions across various practice areas.

Significant Engagements:

  • Successfully closed high-value post-clearance audits with the Bureau of Customs, including a flexible packaging company (₱500 million authorized capital), a Philippine power generation firm ($4 million equity), and a leading Philippine geothermal energy company (₱30 billion authorized capital).

  • Orchestrated the visit of United Nations Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Opinion and Expression, Ms. Irene Z. Khan, to the Philippines. Developed and executed a comprehensive communication strategy, where the work was formally recognized in the Special Rapporteur's official United Nations report, which stated, "The Philippines has a vibrant, dynamic civil society and media sector... This Administration has shown a greater willingness than the previous one to engage with the Special Procedures of the United Nations Human Rights Council."

  • Spearheaded the first-ever Memorandum of Agreement between PTFoMS and the Public Attorney's Office, ensuring that media practitioners facing legal challenges, including Strategic Lawsuits Against Public Participation, receive proper legal representation.

  • Successfully led interagency efforts that culminated in the arrest of one of the top ten (10) most wanted suspects in media killings in 2024.

Atty. Micah Lorelle P. De Guzman

Founding & Co-Managing Partner

Prior to establishing Go & De Guzman Law Offices in partnership with her co-managing partner, Atty. De Guzman honed her legal expertise as an Associate at top-tier law firm in Ortigas, where she adeptly managed a diverse array of complex cases in the realms of civil and criminal litigation, labor disputes, taxation, and various special projects.

Her extensive work encompassed intricate energy-related matters, meticulous due diligence processes, facilitating foreign investments, and ensuring adherence to regulatory compliance, effectively showcasing her remarkable versatility across multiple legal disciplines and her commitment to delivering exceptional legal representation.

  • Settled a high-profile estate valued at ₱2.5 billion before the Bureau of Internal Revenue.

  • Secured a VAT refund worth approximately ₱70 million from the Bureau of Customs for one of the Philippines' leading power generation companies.

  • Developed successful regulatory compliance frameworks and environmental impact assessments for a major wind power project spearheaded by a leading renewable energy company in the Philippines.

    Atty. Sheillyn Mae Q. Pingol

    Margarita Jeselle P. De Guzman

    Senior Executive Assistant

    Ms. De Guzman brings a blend of organizational expertise and strategic marketing to her role as GD Law’s Senior Executive Assistant. She is a marketing professional and writer with a strong foundation in literature and communication.

    With years of experience in marketing, she began her career as a copywriter and junior marketing associate in the F&B industry with Muchi Group. She later took on the role of Head Marketing Manager at Lowbrow Casual Restaurants, leading brand strategies and creative campaigns.
